Clipper Flynn (William Flynn) was born on April 29, 1849 in Lansingburg, New York. He made his Major League debut on May 9, 1871 for the Troy Haymakers. In 1871, his rookie year, he hit .338 with 0 home runs and 27 RBI. Flynn played for the Troy Haymakers and Washington Olympics over the course of his 2 year career.
