Clinton Portis Dislocates Shoulder

Washington Redskins RB Clinton Portis dislocated his shoulder on the Redskins first offensive drive of the pre-season. There is no timetable for his absence.

If he misses a couple of games at the start of the year, the Redskins could be able to manage with LaDell Betts. They start the regular season with games against Minnesota, Dallas, and Houston. All of these teams struggled against the run last season and will likely continue to this year.

Jeez, it's a dislocated shoulder... depending on how bad it is, he could be back in 2 weeks or less... or be bothered the rest of his life with it. I hope his plethora of 'interesting' characters are still ok...

out of all the injuries ever suffered in the preseason, portis' injury has to be the coolest. he absolutely leveled keiwan ratliff. from the looks of that tackle, portis could serve as a pretty good linebacker!
