Clinton Portis AKA Sheriff Gonna Getcha is Fully Behind Michael Vick

by user LastRow

"I don't know if he was fighting dogs or not, but it's his property, it's his dog," Clinton Portis told WAVY-TV. "If that's what he wants to do, do it. I think people should mind their business," and that "if it's behind closed doors, it's okay." Now there’s some really good logic…It seems like everybody has their own opinion on this the latest Michael Vick saga, but undoubtedly this one takes the cake. Although, if we actually think about it, he’s right. Why under Portis’s way of thinking, everything illegal that goes on behind closed doors is actually legal, hmm? I guess this is how they roll and what they teach at the University of Miami. If one does something illegal only becomes illegal when one does it out in public…And oh yeah, gets caught, isn’t that right, CP?

Hey CP, next time somebody tries to shoot your sorry ass, (because we all know that after stating such ridiculousness some animal lover will) don’t fight it…Why it’s just what that particular person wants to do. Somebody’s just holding a gun to your head…What’s wrong with that? It’s not like if it does go off, it’s not going to make a mess…For you’ve just showed everybody there’s nothing in that head of yours! Well, Michael Vick should now be happier than a pig in shit. Why? By saying this, it proves the fact that apparently he's as brilliant as Vick is! See Clinton, in this county, when somebody breaks the law, well, they normally get punished. See, Michael’s into dog fighting, which is punishable by law…Others get their jollies off by killing, raping, robbing. Again why? Simply because, "that’s what they do". So, I’m guessing you have no problems with those individuals either? Man, Rae Caruth would love you! Well, whatever they do, all acts are punishable by the law…Yes, this might come as a shock to you, but dog fights are considered criminal acts as well. So in reality it’s not okay for Vick to do "what he do." Besides, it goes beyond saying that it’s sick and twisted, good to see you also fall into this category! Let’s not forget here Roger Goodell will put the hammer down on him too…For everybody knows he’s the law in the NFL. So explain to me, why is it that you support Vick 100%…His team doesn’t even support him at times. The city in which he plays, well his act(s) have gotten rather old there too. They want his ass gone! Only thing I can think of…It has to be "The U Thing", isn’t it?

Now we’re all aware that you have several different personalities…God, I’m hoping one of those alter egos made these blockhead comments. This must be how things are handled in Sheriff Gonna Getcha jurisdiction. By actually not "Gonna Getcha". Dollah Bill definitely has Michael’s back on this one. And Dr. "I Don't Know"

Jerome From Southeast DC…Well, Virginia’s not that far away, so perhaps that Jerome knows "a lot of back roads that got the dog fight if you want to go see it."

See, during the season everybody gets a chuckle when you arrive at the weekly media sessions sporting one of these outrageous costumes….Calling it Must-See Redskins.com TV. "We sit down and joke and laugh about it," says tight end Robert Royal. We're just trying to get a laugh in before meetings." Added running back Rock Cartwright: "Clinton just likes to lighten the mood. Coaches and teammates can only shake their head in amusement." And I bet they’re shaking their heads at this too! Only, not in amusement, but rather, more like in a sick & demented way! Since you seem to have Vick’s back, I’m just wondering will your teammates still have yours after these nauseating comments?

Clinton Portis is absolutely correct. The dogs and the property all belong to Michael Vick. No different then during the slave era, owners may do what they wish with their property. This is a cherished principle in this country and as others so astutely claimed earlier on Jamel's post, how on earth could we assume that these dogs would have had a better life had it not been for Master Vick? Perhaps these dogs would have starved to death unless given the opportunity to fight as Vick's gladiators? As I've learned from ArmchairGM's youth, there are many sides to a story. Let's not be so hasty in judgement of Michael Vick. Clinton Portis is wise beyond his years.

There should be a universal internet sarcasm font to know how to read comments like this (and most of the ones I leave).

Hey, don't shoot me for being a pseudo-intellect ArmchairGM conformist! After all, I just got served my hat in my hand for suggesting that slavery was actually a very bad episode in American history. So if suppressing, murdering and enslaving an entire race of people for economical gain in the stalwart cotton and tobacco pioneering empires had its "good" merits to both slave and owner, surely this logic extends to dogs. Or is the life of a dog more valued than a slave here? After all, without Master Vick, these canines may have been left to roam the wild and gorge upon the carcasses of Mad Cow inflicted diseased bovines. Undoubtedly, these dogs were provided shelter and some remnant of nutrition albeit possibly resorting to some form of canine cannibalism. What's good for the slave is good enough for Fido, right?

Im in full agreement here-- I was just told on my column that it is better to be alive and a slave than dead and free. So in this case, were the dogs not feed? Were they not sheltered, kept warm, given blankets, rewarded???

The world and all animal loves should be rewarding and praising Vick. At least the dogs were given a fighting chance to survive- if not they would have been put down and killed by a vet or shelter.

So I guess the question is this? According to other's logic what is worse-- slavery or fighting dogs???

I would have to suggest (Jamel - right?) that if the logic remains consistent here at the brilliant collective genius of ArmchairGM, a modern day dog's life is more valued than a pre-Civil War slave.

So then why is/was Jayson Williams for murder charges after shooting his limo driver? I mean, after it was inside & on his property, correct? But that's different, right? How so?

Interesting and valid point LastRow. The deductive logic gathered from the day's combined intellectual know-how of the kiddie ArmchairGM corps would argue that Jayson Williams had EVERY RIGHT to shoot his limo driver. After all, the limo and the driver were HIS possessions. However, don't discount the fact that Jayson Williams is a member of a minority race in this country and it CANNOT be assumed that equal rules would apply for in this circumstance as to Southern white plantation owners. Does this make things clearer now?

Do you paint all of your pictures with the same color or what?

Whatever color suits you best... it's a wonderful shade of idiot.

You need to get laid every so often, Tyrone.

And of course LastRow, how could any of us possibly assume that limo driver really wanted to live in the first place? Perhaps a shotgun blast at close range was indeed the most humanistic option presented to Jayson Williams at that particular moment.
