Born on August 10, 1922 in Hondo, Texas, Clint Hartung (Clinton Clarence Hartung) played for the New York Giants for his entire 6 year career. Hartung broke into the bigs on April 15, 1947 with the New York Giants, and put up a 4.57 ERA in 138 innings pitched in 1947, his rookie year.

Most people believe that Clint Hartung's best season was 1947, when he posted a 4.57 ERA and struck out 54 batters.
