Cliff Brooks (Clifford Brooks) was born on June 21, 1949 in Pineland, Texas. After going to high school at Dunbar (Lufkin, TX), Brooks attended Tennessee State University. Brooks made his professional debut in the NFL in 1972 with the Cleveland Browns. He played for the Cleveland Browns and Philadelphia Eagles over the course of his 5 year career.
