Rookie Joe Saunders extended the Angels win streak to 8 games on Tuesday, beating the Cleveland Indians 7-5. Sauders pitched 7 strong innings striking out 5 while giving up 4 hits, 4 walks, and 1 earned run. The Angels offense was lead by Juan Rivera who belted a pair of solo home runs leading off the 6th and 8th innings. KRod managed to pick up his 23rd save after the Indians rallied for 3 runs in the ninth, but it was not enough.
Cliff Lee dropped to 9-7 as he gave up 6 runs (5 eraned) over 5 innings. Cleveland's offense was lead by Grady Sizemore and Victor Martinez who went 2-4 with RBIs, and Aaron Boone who went 2-3 with and RBI.
