Cleveland Elam (Cleveland Elam) was born on April 5, 1952 in Memphis, Tennessee. After going to high school at Lester (Memphis, TN), Elam attended Tennessee State University. Elam made his professional debut in the NFL in 1975 with the San Francisco 49ers. He played for the San Francisco 49ers and Detroit Lions over the course of his 5 year career.
Most people believe that 1976 was Cleveland Elam's best year, as he recovered 4 opponents fumbles and ran back a fumble for a touchdown.
