Cleo Carlyle (Hiram Cleo Carlyle) was born on September 7, 1902 in Fairburn, Georgia. He made his Major League debut on May 16, 1927 for the Boston Red Sox. In 1927, his rookie year, he hit .234 with 1 home run and 28 RBI. Carlyle played for the Boston Red Sox for his entire 1 year career.
