Clem Nugent (Earl Clement Nugent) was born on November 9, 1899 in Algona, Iowa. After going to high school at Algona (IA), Nugent attended the University of Iowa. Nugent made his professional debut in the NFL in 1924 with the Rochester Jeffersons. He played for the Rochester Jeffersons for his entire 1 year career.
