Clem Crabtree (Clement Gurley Crabtree) was born on November 11, 1918 in Durham, North Carolina. Crabtree attended Wake Forest University. Crabtree made his professional debut in the NFL in 1940 with the Detroit Lions. He played for the Detroit Lions for his entire 2 year career.
