From a historical standpoint, matching up the two highest winning percentage teams with the most amounts of wins in College history should make for an epic viewing. The number one team with an over all record of 860-282-36 with a .745 winning percentage taking on the number two team with its 821-269-42 with a .744 winning percentage. The number one team has lead the battle of this all-time series 19-14-1. This rivalry dates back to 1877 and they just signed contracts to continue it until at least 2031.
They may not be the Titians they once were and are sure to be again, with both teams started this year out 0-2 and have zero chance of getting into a Bowl Game, other than the Toilet Bowl, today's game may be the only claim of bragging rights either of these two schools may claim this year. The Flailing Irish and Whining Wolverines will put there pitiful performances this year behind them and continue one of the oldest grudges in College Football. The fact that I'm Irish and have been a Notre Dame fan (one of my two favorite teams) for 25 years means I have to take the Irish but my faith is challenged at the moment. With Michigan facing the possibility of their third straight loss at home and it being against their bitter rivalry they are going to bring everything they have got. I'll want to take Notre Dame by 3, but in the end I think it will be Michigan by 7 or more.
