Born on December 30, 1878 in Glencoe, Ontario (Canada), Clarence Currie (Clarence Franklin Currie) played for the St. Louis Cardinals, Cincinnati Reds and Chicago Cubs over the course of his 2 year career. Currie broke into the bigs on April 25, 1902 with the St. Louis Cardinals, and put up a 2.98 ERA in 190 innings pitched in 1902, his rookie year.
