Born on July 17, 1873 in Rockland, Maine, Chummy Gray (George Edward Gray) played for the Pittsburgh Pirates for his entire 1 year career. Gray broke into the bigs on September 14, 1899 with the Pittsburgh Pirates, and put up a 3.44 ERA in 70.2 innings pitched in 1899, his rookie year.
