Chuck Riffle (Charles Francis Riffle) was born on January 6, 1918 in Dillonvale, Ohio. After going to high school at Warren (OH), Riffle attended the University of Notre Dame. Riffle made his professional debut in the NFL in 1944 with the Cleveland Rams. He played in the NFL for 1 year, playing for the Cleveland Rams the entire time. Riffle also played in the AAFC for 3 years, playing for the New York Yankees the entire time.

Most people believe that 1948 was Chuck Riffle's best year.
