Chuck Latourette (Charles Pierre Latourette) was born on July 21, 1945 in San Antonio, Texas. After going to high school at Jonesboro (AR), Latourette attended Rice University. Latourette made his professional debut in the NFL in 1967 with the St. Louis Cardinals. He played for the St. Louis Cardinals for his entire 4 year career.

Most people believe that 1968 was Chuck Latourette's best year, as he ran back a punt for a touchdown, had 1237 kick return yards and had a 41.6 yard punt average.
