Chuck Huneke (Charles Franklin Huneke) was born on January 1, 1921 in Lincoln, Illinois. After going to high school at Cathedral Boys (Springfield, IL), Huneke attended St. Benedict's College, St. Mary's University and the University of Wyoming. Huneke made his professional debut in the AAFC in 1946 with the Chicago Rockets. He played for the Chicago Rockets and Brooklyn Dodgers over the course of his 3 year career.
