Chris set a Boston Bruins record for goals in game by a rookie when he scored four goals in game at California on December 30, 1973. Injury though followed him as he suffered a fractured jaw twice during his NHL playing career when hit by Pat Quinn in 1973-74 and by Keith Magnuson in 1974-75.
