Born on January 4, 1971 in Joliet, Illinois, Chris Michalak (Christian Matthew Michalak) played for the Arizona Diamondbacks, Toronto Blue Jays, Texas Rangers and Cincinnati Reds over the course of his 4 year career. Michalak broke into the bigs on August 22, 1998 with the Arizona Diamondbacks, and put up a 4.41 ERA in 136.2 innings pitched in 2001, his rookie year.

Most people believe that Chris Michalak's best season was 2001, when he posted a 4.41 ERA and struck out 67 batters.
