[edit] Biography

Chris Brown (John Christopher Brown) was born on August 15, 1961 in Jackson, Mississippi. He made his Major League debut on September 3, 1984 for the San Francisco Giants. In 1985, his rookie year, he hit .271 with 16 home runs and 61 RBI. Brown played for the San Francisco Giants, San Diego Padres and Detroit Tigers over the course of his 6 year career.

There is some disagreement on what was Chris Brown's most productive season. Some believe that it was 1985, when he slugged 16 home runs and knocked in 61 runs. However, others believe that it was 1986, when he hit for a .317 average.
