Chris Bentz (Christian C. Bentz) was born on December 20, 1891 in Artas, South Dakota. After going to high school at Central (Aberdeen, SD), Bentz attended the University of Montan. Bentz made his professional debut in the APFA in 1920 with the Detroit Heralds. He played for the Detroit Heralds for his entire 1 year career.
