Chris Barber (Christopher Edgar Barber) was born on January 15, 1964 in Fort Bragg, North Carolina. After going to high school at Parkland (Winston-Salem, NC), Barber attended North Carolina A&T State University. Barber made his professional debut in the NFL in 1987 with the Cincinnati Bengals. He played for the Cincinnati Bengals and Tampa Bay Buccaneers over the course of his 3 year career.
