Chip Myers (Phillip Leon Myers) was born on July 9, 1945 in Panama City, Florida. After going to high school at C.E. Donart (Stillwater, OK), Myers attended Northwestern Oklahoma State University. Myers made his professional debut in the NFL in 1967 with the San Francisco 49ers. He played in the NFL for 8 years, playing for the Cincinnati Bengals and San Francisco 49ers over the course of his 8 year NFL career.Myers also played in the AFL for 1 year, playing for the Cincinnati Bengals the entire time.
Most people believe that 1972 was Chip Myers's best year, as he hauled in 57 receptions and had 792 receiving yards.
