Chip Lohmiller (John M. Lohmiller) was born on July 16, 1966 in Woodbury, Minnesota. After going to high school at Woodbury (MN), Lohmiller attended the University of Minnesota. Lohmiller made his professional debut in the NFL in 1988 with the Washington Redskins. He played for the Washington Redskins, St. Louis Rams and New Orleans Saints over the course of his 9 year career.

Most people believe that 1991 was Chip Lohmiller's best year, as he made 31 field goals.
