Chip Banks (William Chip Banks) was born on September 18, 1959 in Fort Lawton, Oklahoma. After going to high school at Lucy Laney (Augusta, GA), Banks attended the University of Southern California. Banks made his professional debut in the NFL in 1982 with the Cleveland Browns. He played for the Cleveland Browns, Indianapolis Colts and San Diego Chargers over the course of his 10 year career.
Most people believe that 1985 was Chip Banks's best year, as he recorded 11 sacks.
