Chip Ambres (Raymond Payne Ambres) was born on December 19, 1979 in Beaumont, Texas. He made his Major League debut on July 20, 2005 for the Kansas City Royals. In 2005, his rookie year, he hit .241 with 4 home runs and 9 RBI. Ambres played for the Kansas City Royals for his entire 1 year career.
