Chink Outen (William Austin Outen) was born on June 17, 1905 in Mount Holly, North Carolina. He made his Major League debut on April 16, 1933 for the Brooklyn Dodgers. In 1933, his rookie year, he hit .248 with 4 home runs and 17 RBI. Outen played for the Brooklyn Dodgers for his entire 1 year career.
