Hu is a classic shortstop: Excellent glove, able to hit for a high average with occasional power and comes with some speed to top it off. Very high baseball IQ. Executes excellent hand eye coordination at the plate being able to read pitches easily. His ability to hit to the opposite sides of the field has been compared by some to the late Dodgers legend Pee Wee Reese. Right now his path is blocked by Rafael Furcal at short but that might change when Furcal's high priced contract expires at season's end. Initially was likely to spend another year of grooming at Las Vegas but due to injuries to fellow young players Tony Abreu and Andy LaRoche he may land the utility role in Joe Torre's first year at the helm.
