Born on December 27, 1949 in Los Mochis, Sinaloa (Mexico), Chico Escarrega (Ernesto (Acosta) Escarrega) played for the Chicago White Sox for his entire 1 year career. Escarrega broke into the bigs on April 26, 1982 with the Chicago White Sox, and put up a 3.67 ERA in 73.2 innings pitched in 1982, his rookie year.
