Chick Gandil (Arnold Gandil) was born on January 19, 1888 in St. Paul, Minnesota. He made his Major League debut on April 14, 1910 for the Chicago White Sox. In 1910, his rookie year, he hit .193 with 2 home runs and 21 RBI. Gandil played for the Chicago White Sox, Washington Senators and Cleveland Indians over the course of his 9 year career.

There is some disagreement on what was Chick Gandil's most productive season. Some believe that it was 1913, when he hit for a .318 average and knocked in 72 runs. However, others believe that it was 1914, when he stole 30 bases and knocked in 75 runs.
