Chick Galloway (Clarence Edward Galloway) was born on August 4, 1896 in Clinton, South Carolina. He made his Major League debut on September 9, 1919 for the Philadelphia Athletics. In 1920, his rookie year, he hit .201 with 0 home runs and 18 RBI. Galloway played for the Philadelphia Athletics and Detroit Tigers over the course of his 10 year career.

Most people believe that Chick Galloway's best season was 1922, when he hit for a .324 average and knocked in 69 runs.
