[edit] Biography

Born on August 26, 1873 in Chicago, Illinois, Chick Fraser (Charles Carrolton Fraser) played for the Louisville Colonels, Cleveland Spiders, Philadelphia Phillies, Philadelphia Athletics, Boston Beaneaters, Cincinnati Reds and Chicago Cubs over the course of his 14 year career. Fraser broke into the bigs on April 19, 1896 with the Louisville Colonels, and put up a 4.87 ERA in 349.1 innings pitched in 1896, his rookie year.

There is some disagreement on what was Chick Fraser's most productive season. Some believe that it was 1901, when he posted a 3.81 ERA, won 22 games and struck out 110 batters. However, others believe that it was 1899, when he posted a 3.36 ERA, won 21 games and struck out 68 batters.
