Born on March 6, 1892 in Peabody, Massachusetts, Chick Davies (Lloyd Garrison Davies) played for the Philadelphia Athletics and New York Giants over the course of his 4 year career. Davies broke into the bigs on July 11, 1914 with the Philadelphia Athletics, and put up a 3.94 ERA in 89 innings pitched in 1926, his rookie year.
