[edit] Founding A Team
Founded in 1979 by students at the Loyola University of Chicago Medical School, the Chicago Westside Condors have a long-standing tradition of excellence in the Chicago Area Rugby Football Union, with consistent representation in Chicago and Midwest select sides.
[edit] Success in the 1990's
In 2000, John Burke went from Condor to U.S. Eagle. Due in part to superb coaching and to the raw talent of every player, the Condors enjoyed tremendous success in the 1997 through 2003 seasons, appearing twice in the National Final Four. In Fall 2003, after twenty-four years in Division II, the Condors were promoted to Division I.
[edit] Going Div I
In Fall 2003, the Condors left behind the ranks of the powerhouse Midwest Central Division II conference, and moved to Division I. The Condors stepped up an already-intesnse fitness regimen to prepare for the move.
