Chicago Cubs hold Bonds at 713

7
Vote

After a walk, a fly to center and an over the wall catch from Pierre in center, a single and a fly out to Right. The Chicago Cubs were able to hold Barry Bonds at 713. Hill, Eyre and Ohman all pitched to Bonds and allowd him to go 1 for 4 on the night. Although the Cubs are down 6 - 1 going into the top of the 9th, Bonds still has to wait atleast another day to tie Babe Ruth's homerun record.

Yes it was great. Too bad that was the only good thing that happened for the Cubs.
