Chet Chesney (Chester A. Chesney) was born on September 9, 1916 in Chicago, Illinois. After going to high school at Lane Tech (Chicago, IL), Chesney attended Depaul University. Chesney made his professional debut in the NFL in 1939 with the Chicago Bears. He played for the Chicago Bears for his entire 2 year career.
