Chess
Chess is the most prominent mind sports as it is included in the International Olympic Committee listing of recognized sports (along with bridge, bowling, life saving and more). It means that with the right push, chess can be played in future Olympic games (obviously not in London 2012). Like "physical" sports, chess is, according to Wikipedia: "an organized, competitive and skillful physical activity requiring commitment and fair play." Except chess does not involve physical but mental activity (if sitting for hours totally concentrated while others watching your every move does not count as physical activity).
