Charlie Van Horn (Charles Edgar Van Horn) was born on November 23, 1901 in Washington, District Of Columbia. After going to high school at Allegheny Prep (Pittsburgh, PA), Van Horn attended Washington and Lee University. Van Horn made his professional debut in the NFL in 1927 with the Buffalo Bisons. He played for the Orange Tornadoes and Buffalo Bisons over the course of his 2 year career.
