Charlie Potts (Charles Potts) was born on April 29, 1949 in Chicago, Illinois. After going to high school at Dunbar (Chicago, IL), Potts attended Purdue University. Potts made his professional debut in the NFL in 1972 with the Detroit Lions. He played for the Detroit Lions for his entire 1 year career.
