Charlie Manuel (Charles Fuqua Manuel) was born on January 4, 1944 in Northfork, West Virginia. He made his Major League debut on April 8, 1969 for the Minnesota Twins. In 1969, his rookie year, he hit .207 with 2 home runs and 24 RBI. Manuel played for the Minnesota Twins for his entire 4 year career.
Manuel is the current manager of the Philadelphia Phillies and former manager of the Cleveland Indians.
