Charlie Letchas (Charlie Letchas) was born on October 3, 1915 in Thomasville, Georgia. He made his Major League debut on September 16, 1939 for the Philadelphia Phillies. In 1944, his rookie year, he hit .237 with 0 home runs and 33 RBI. Letchas played for the Philadelphia Phillies and Washington Senators over the course of his 4 year career.
