[edit] Biography

Born on October 4, 1956 in Chicago, Illinois, Charlie Leibrandt (Charles Louis Leibrandt) played for the Cincinnati Reds, Kansas City Royals, Atlanta Braves and Texas Rangers over the course of his 14 year career. Leibrandt broke into the bigs on September 17, 1979 with the Cincinnati Reds, and put up a 4.25 ERA in 173.2 innings pitched in 1980, his rookie year.

There is some disagreement on what was Charlie Leibrandt's most productive season. Some believe that it was 1987, when he posted a 3.41 ERA, won 16 games and struck out 151 batters. However, others believe that it was 1985, when he posted a 2.69 ERA, won 17 games and struck out 108 batters.
