Born on February 18, 1871 in Anderson, Indiana, Charlie Knepper (Charles Knepper) played for the Cleveland Spiders for his entire 1 year career. Knepper broke into the bigs on May 26, 1899 with the Cleveland Spiders, and put up a 5.78 ERA in 219.2 innings pitched in 1899, his rookie year.
