Charlie Hickman (Charles Taylor Hickman) was born on May 4, 1876 in Taylortown, Pennsylvania. He made his Major League debut on September 8, 1897 for the Boston Beaneaters. In 1900, his rookie year, he hit .313 with 9 home runs and 91 RBI. Hickman played for the Boston Beaneaters, New York Giants, Cleveland Broncos, Boston Americans, Cleveland Naps, Detroit Tigers, Washington Senators and Chicago White Sox over the course of his 12 year career.

Most people believe that Charlie Hickman's best season was 1902, when he hit for a .361 average and knocked in 110 runs.
