Charlie Hastings (Charles Elliot Hastings) was born on January 24, 1893 in Brookville, Pennsylvania. After going to high school at Brookville (PA) and Kiski Prep (Saltsburg, PA), Hastings attended the University of Pittsburgh. Hastings made his professional debut in the APFA in 1920 with the Cleveland Tigers. He played for the Cleveland Tigers for his entire 1 year career.
