Charlie Hanford (Charles Joseph Hanford) was born on June 3, 1882 in Tunstall, England. He made his Major League debut on April 13, 1914 for the Buffalo Blues. In 1914, his rookie year, he hit .291 with 12 home runs and 90 RBI. Hanford played for the Buffalo Blues and Chicago Whales over the course of his 2 year career.
