Charlie Gainor (Charles Edward Gainor) was born on November 22, 1916 in Sargeant, North Dakota. After going to high school at Milnor (ND), Gainor attended the University of North Dakota. Gainor made his professional debut in the NFL in 1939 with the Chicago Cardinals. He played for the Chicago Cardinals for his entire 1 year career.
