Charlie Cowan (Charles Edward Cowan) was born on June 19, 1938 in Braeholm, West Virginia. After going to high school at Buffalo (WV), Cowan attended New Mexico Highlands University. Cowan made his professional debut in the NFL in 1961 with the Los Angeles Rams. He played for the Los Angeles Rams for his entire 15 year career.

Most people believe that 1965 was Charlie Cowan's best year.
