Charlie Carr (Charles Carbitt Carr) was born on December 27, 1876 in Coatesville, Pennsylvania. He made his Major League debut on September 15, 1898 for the Washington Senators. In 1903, his rookie year, he hit .281 with 2 home runs and 79 RBI. Carr played for the Washington Senators, Philadelphia Athletics, Detroit Tigers, Cleveland Naps, Cincinnati Reds and Newark Peppers over the course of his 7 year career.

Most people believe that Charlie Carr's best season was 1903, when he hit for a .281 average and knocked in 79 runs.
