Charlie Brewster (Charles Lawrence Brewster) was born on December 27, 1916 in Marthaville, Louisiana. He made his Major League debut on May 2, 1943 for the Philadelphia Phillies. In 1943, his rookie year, he hit .216 with 0 home runs and 12 RBI. Brewster played for the Philadelphia Phillies, Cincinnati Reds, Chicago Cubs and Cleveland Indians over the course of his 3 year career.
