Charlie Baker (Charles Edward Baker) was born on September 26, 1957 in Mount Pleasant, Texas. After going to high school at Ector (Odessa, TX), Baker attended the University of New Mexico. Baker made his professional debut in the NFL in 1980 with the St. Louis Cardinals. He played for the St. Louis Cardinals for his entire 8 year career.

Most people believe that 1986 was Charlie Baker's best year.
